Common dental emergencies we treat
Severe Toothache
Persistent or severe tooth pain often signals infection or decay that needs prompt attention.
Chipped or Broken Tooth
We do our best to repair a broken tooth the same day with bonding, a crown, or other restoration, scheduling permitting.
Lost Filling or Crown
An exposed tooth after a lost filling or crown needs prompt repair to prevent further damage.
Knocked-Out Tooth
Time is critical — call immediately for the best chance of saving the tooth.
Swelling or Abscess
Facial swelling or a dental abscess can indicate a serious infection requiring urgent care.
Loose or Dislodged Tooth
A tooth pushed out of position from injury needs to be stabilized quickly to have the best chance of saving it.
Soft Tissue Injuries
Cuts or tears to the lips, cheeks, gums, or tongue may need urgent care to control bleeding and prevent infection.
Broken Denture or Appliance
A broken denture, retainer, or other dental appliance can usually be repaired quickly.
What to do until your appointment
For a knocked-out tooth, keep it moist (in milk or your own saliva) and get to us as quickly as possible. For pain and swelling, a cold compress and over-the-counter pain relief can help in the short term. Avoid chewing on the affected side, and don't apply aspirin directly to the gum or tooth.

What happens during an emergency visit
1. Evaluation
A thorough exam, often including X-rays, to assess the extent of the problem and figure out the right course of action.

If you're in pain, easing that comes first — through local anesthetic or other pain management as needed.
3. Treatment
From there, treatment depends on what's needed — anything from a temporary repair to a filling, root canal, or extraction.
